Local favorite, Repeat Offender, made quite an impression in Texarkana, AR last friday as they partied the place out @ Fat Jack's! The band was on like I haven't seen in awhile, and all systems were a go!
The local crowd certainly seemed to enjoy themselves as the dance floor stayed busy all night. Working the crowd as only he can, frontman Charley Hankins was all over the place. The ladies responded by joining him onstage & helping the band out for several numbers.
Lead guitarist, Hokie Gjertsen, was absolutely on fire...the crowd was both appreciative & stunned simultaneously at his display of skill. Bassist Tyrone Thigpen kept a smile on his face the whole evening, and seemed to be thoroughly enjoying himself as the party broke out. Mike Talley on drums was a veritable madman, and once again, displayed his versatility on the sticks.
Even though this was not their first Texarkana gig, I certainly believe it might have been their best to date if the reaction of the crowd was any indicator. Great night in a great venue with an awesome band & crowd, way to go guys...I think you scored on this one!
